Ritzy Trees Gala Raises Over $70,000

Profits to be Shared Between Coastside Family Medical Center
& the Boys and Girls Club of the Coastside

Half Moon Bay, Calif. — Coastside Family Medical Center and The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside successfully hosted their 2nd annual Ritzy Trees event at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, the evening’s title sponsor, on November 27, 2007. The event raised over $70,000.00, which benefited their respective nonprofits.

The winners of the tree auction included Linda & Eddie Andreini, Jane & Mark Battey, Dave Labuda, Dr. Laurie McKinney, DVM and Coy Stout. The highest tree bidder — Dave Labuda — also donated an additional $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club to jumpstart their 2008 educational programs which includes two scholarships for graduating seniors and an after-school tutor.

Another big winner of the evening’s fundraiser was Audrey Wood who won a $7,000 diamond donated by Main Street Goldworks. Julie Damasco, Sandie Ryan and Dave Labuda were also among the winning bidders for hand-crafted wreaths and garlands.

Coastside Family Medical Center is a nonprofit healthcare clinic in Half Moon Bay, with a satellite clinic in Pescadero. The clinic provides family practice and pediatric services to all coastal residents — those who can afford it and those who cannot. The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside is a youth development organization dedicated to promoting the health, social, educational, vocational and character development of the community’s boys and girls.

Major sponsors of this event included The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, Cetrella, Mills-Peninsula Health Services, Reece Computers and Main Street Goldworks. Additional sponsors of auctioned trees were Alifano Technologies, Ina Bell & Terry Fisher of Coldwell Bank, Doodledings Dog Bakery & Boutique, HAUTE Home Staging & Design and Sense of Peace.
