CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Robert V. Harless began his career in Healthcare Administration in 1973, after graduating from California State Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and his Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Calif. Over the last 34 years, he has worked in hospital administration, working his way up from Director of Business Services for a large nonprofit hospital system to an Associate Hospital Administrator position for a district hospital. Mr. Harless joined Coastside Family Medical Center as Chief Executive Officer in August 2006.
He has served as Regional Vice President for a large physician practice management company and in a number of Chief Executive Officer positions for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the California Primary Case Association. He also is a member of the National Association of Community Health Centers and the Medical Group Management Association.
Mr. Harless has been married to his wife Barbara for 43 years. They have two adult children who are married and enjoy spending their time with their three grandchildren. Mr. Harless’ daughter Kelly is an Emergency Room Nurse in Grass Valley California, and son Rob Jr. is serving with the U.S. Navy SEALS, in San Diego, Calif. Mr. Harless enjoys relaxing by playing golf and basketball, and enjoying fine wines. |

INTERIM MEDICAL DIRECTOR
David Gorchoff, MD, MPH has been serving as CFMC’s Interim Medical Director since September 1, 2007. He is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, who resides in Santa Rosa. He received his BA from Stanford, and his medical degree from U.C. Davis for Medical School, and his degree in Public Health at University of Connecticut.
Dr. Gorchoff has spent his entire medical career in community clinics and health centers. He worked for over 16 years at the Russian River Health Center in Guerneville (western Sonoma County), and was Medical Director there for many years. He is a past Chief of Staff Community Hospital/Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa, and served on the Board of Palm Drive Hospital in Sebastopol; and served for four years as Medical Director of Redwood Community Health Coalition (a network of clinics in Marin, Napa, Yolo, and Sonoma counties). He is the immediate past chairperson of the Clinicians’ Committee for the California Primary Care Association.
Dr. Gorchoff became a full-time consultant in the fall of 2004, although he still works as a locums physician in clinics in both Hawaii and California. He travels all over the country performing reviews and audits and providing technical assistance to federally-funded clinics and HIV programs: at last count he has worked in close to 35 states. |

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Vincent Thomas began his career in medical administration in 1992 as the billing manager at Citrus Valley Hospice and Home Care in Covina, Calif. He then moved on to San Gabriel Valley Medical Center located in San Gabriel, Calif., where he was instrumental to the start up and licensing of their in home care agency. Vince exhibited a special interest in the hospice and home care field, both in the training of volunteers and in helping patients and families deal with end-of-life care. He has also enjoyed and participated in major fundraising efforts for several nonprofit agencies he has been associated with. Vince has had the unique experience of being involved in all aspects and levels of medical administration.
Vince joins Coastside Family Medical Center in the role of Director of Operations and looks forward to providing the coastal community with affordable quality health care. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, friends and pets. Vince also enjoys horseback riding, body surfing, art, and history. |

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
As the Director of Development for Coastside Family Medical Center, a position she has held since 2005, Cecilia focuses on building relationships with community foundations, donors and local businesses to increase awareness of the need for medical care on the coast. She manages all aspects of fundraising for the clinic, including grant writing, major gifts, corporate funding, and the annual Ritzy Trees gala.
Cecilia received her Bachelor's in Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts from San Francisco State University and worked for several years at a local television station in the city. She has also held positions as a Marketing Specialist in the tech industry and Director of Youth Services for a nationwide children’s organization. Cecilia has worked in the nonprofit industry for over six years and is passionate about giving back to her community. Her hobbies include traveling, scuba diving, and enjoying the culture and diversity of the Bay Area. |

BILLING MANAGER
Donna began her career in 1966 working for Arnold Chamove, M.D. in San
Francisco. Subsequently, she worked in various positions for several
physicians. Her last employment was as office manager in San Francisco for
Morrie Mink, M.D., an Otolaryngologist. She managed his office from 1978
until he retired in June, 2006. Later that year she joined CFMC as Billing
Manager. In this challenging position she is grateful for the support and
diligent work of her billing staff: Coleen, Janet, Amie and Lois.
When she's not working Donna enjoys spending time with her family. Her
hobbies include sewing, needlework, reading and attending the activities and
sporting events of her three great-nephews. |

FRONT OFFICE MANAGEER
Maria has worked in the medical field since 2001, as a Receptionist and
Billing Officer, and also on the clinical side as a Medical Assistant for a
family practice office in San Mateo. Since 2006, Maria has worked at CFMC,
acting as a liaison between patients, medical staff and administration with
her main focus on customer service and patient satisfaction. With over five
years experience in various enrollment verification procedures, she is happy
to assist patients who need help with insurance issues.
Maria was born and raised in Half Moon Bay and enjoys working locally where
she can give back to her community. Maria and her husband love taking walks
on the beach with their two daughters, Celeste and Hailey. |

HEAD NURSE
Barb has been with Coastside Family Medical Center for 3 years after the acquisition of the Pescadero Clinic by CFMC. She was part of the community group that had a dream of a South Coast clinic and was instrumental in the development of CFMC-South when the San Mateo County Public Health opened it in 2001.
Barb has been a nurse for 28 years and has a degree in Comparative Religion from the University of Washington as well as her RN. She is also a Certified Lactation Consultant. Her area of specialty is Pediatrics with emphasis on premature babies and infants. Barb has also worked in the community as a volunteer in many capacities. She started the Cunha Intermediate School's free breakfast program that is run by volunteer parents, is a board member of Sonrisas Dental Clinic and works at the RotaCare Clinic in Half Moon Bay.
Barb lives with her husband and daughter in Montara. She is a “foodie” and loves to practice her culinary skills on family and friends!
