Coastside Family Medical Center is a not-for-profit clinic providing Family Practice and Pediatric services and offering primary care, OB/GYN, sports medicine, allergy shots, physical examinations and referrals to specialists. There is also access to specialists including an on-site obstetrician and midwife.

The Center serves more than 8,000 coastside residents. Owned by Stanford Medical Center since 1995, it became a not-for-profit community-directed corporation effective Oct. 1, 2001, the date Stanford stepped aside. A local community board now governs the corporation.

Mills-Peninsula Medical Group joined the collaboration and is working to ensure a continued obstetrics presence at the Center. In addition, Mills-Peninsula Health Services provides on-site radiology and laboratory services.

By joining with MPMG, Coastside Family Medical Center has access to many HMO plans. Medicare, MediCal, the Health Plan of San Mateo, and a variety of PPO plans are also are accepted. Uninsured healthcare is provided with the charges assessed on a sliding scale.
